F SH

Kalk Bay, Cape Town

F SH, one of the newest restaurants to open its doors in Kalk Bay, takes the freshest of False Bay’s fish, whenever available, directly from Kalk Bay’s enchanting harbour to our fish display, perfectly filleted, deboned and displayed on ice.

F SH restaurant is situated on the Main Rd of the historic and picturesque town of Kalk Bay - home to artists, writers and many others. Our large outside seating area and sliding glass doors offer fantastic views over False Bay and Kalk Bay Harbour, the oldest working harbour in the Cape, allowing you to watch the colourful fishing boats deliver the freshest catch of the day directly to the harbour. With the tall palm trees and the elegant Majestic rising behind us, music gently wafting across the bay, F SH evokes memories of a bygone time, when people took time to savour their food, enjoy their wines, and spend time relaxing. Our wide variety of fish adheres strictly the SASSI guidelines, and to complement the widest variety of the freshest local fish we also have a selection of deep sea fish and game fish as well as an array of succulent shellfish from prawns to calamari, Mozambique Langoustines, crayfish tails, Saldanha Bay Mussels and Namibian Oysters.

Our superb waiters, ably assisted by our knowledgeable fishmonger, will be able to guide you through our seafood display explaining the different tastes and textures of our daily offerings, allowing you to select the combination and quantity of seafood you desire. Your selection is then grilled to perfection with either a blend of delicately flavoured spices or Cajun style and accompanied by an array of side dishes and sauces to complement and enhance the fresh flavours of the seafood. We also serve a wide selection of the freshest sushi and sashimi - spectacularly presented and prepared. And should none of the above tempt you we serve main course salads and vegetarian pastas too.

To end a wonderful meal, we have a scrumptious array of desserts and Italian ice-creams - or choose from our ‘made daily” stand of tempting cakes.
