'It is vulnerable to overfishing due to its high degree of residency. Previously there was confusion about the exact species but now it has been found that there are 2 in SA waters.
U. robinsoni occurs more inshore while
U. canariensis occurs in deeper water and is sometimes caught by sole/hake trawlers and sold, though it's flesh is not rated very highly
